New style GCSE 1-9
Any students who are currently in year 10, or below, will be sitting a new styles GCSE paper. It will be different in a number of ways. Firstly the grades A* to G will no longer be used. Students will be graded with the new system which runs from 1-9. Below is an image which shows the change and the link between the curret system and the new one.
Another change is the number of exams students will be sitting. Currently students stit two exams, a calculator and a non-calculator, both whihc are 1hr and 45 minutes long. With the new system students will have three exams, each one lasting an hour and a half.
